Interfaith Counseling Center

Staff

Hollis Burkhart, M.A., L.M.H.C. Hollis joined the Center in 2000 after earning an M.A. in Agency Counseling from Rhode Island College. More recently she has received a C.A.G.S. in Mental Health Counseling from that institution.  She has spent the last 35 years integrating her life experiences with ongoing training in the areas of spirituality, therapy, writing and the arts, yoga, holistic health, and Reiki. She has led experiential workshops in a variety of lifestyle and holistic health topics. She is also an adjunct faculty member in the graduate Holistic Counseling Program at Salve Regina University and Psychology Department at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Ma. Hollis is also the Center’s Intake Coordinator.

Rev. Gregory Carpenter, M. Div. Greg has 20 plus years' experience as a pastoral counselor. He works with individuals, couples and families. He is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. He received his Master of Divinity degree, with a concentration in pastoral psychology, from the Boston University School of Theology. His clinical training was at the Boston University Albert V. Danielson Institute of Psychotherapy and the Kantor Family Institute, Cambridge, MA. Greg is also an Ordained Elder of the United Methodist Church. Greg prefers a results-oriented, solutions based approach to counseling that focuses on creating positive change.

Paula Marcello, R.N., M.A. L.M.H.C. Paula recently completed a three-year internship and residency at the Center. She received a B.S. in Nursing from Rhode Island College and an M.A. and C.A.G.S. in Mental Health Counseling from Salve Regina University. Much of Paula's experience centers on women's issues. She has also focused on adolescents and group counseling.

The Center is currently involved in an internship program.  Students from the Graduate Holistic Counseling Program at Salve Regina University are participating.
