Barrington Interfaith Partners announces its 2026 Fall Forum event will host two speakers on the topic “Environmental Justice: Caring for the Earth.” The event will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 7:00 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 191 County Road, Barrington, RI 02806.

The speakers are Kim Cobb, Director of the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society at Brown University, and Benjamin J. Hohman, Assistant Professor of Religious and Theological Studies at Salve Regina University. Dr. Cobb will discuss the effects of climate change on health, focusing on the greatest hazards and risks, who is bearing these costs globally and locally, and the kinds of policies and solutions required to address these issues. Dr. Hohman will outline the main principles of eco-theology from an ecumenical perspective and introduce the concept of ecological eschatology. An audience Q&A is included.

The event is free and open to all. Parking is available, and refreshments will be served.
